I am a Postdoctoral Scholar Research Associate in the Department of Mechanical and Civil Engineering, at California Institute of Technology. My research focuses on phase-field modeling and numerical simulation of problems in mechanical and biomedical engineering. The phase-field method is an emerging modeling technique that permits a simple and direct formulation of moving boundary problems. I use the phase-field method to study problems with moving interfaces such as cell migration, cancer growth, fracture mechanics, multiphase flow, and reactive transport in porous media.
